Jocelyn Fowler joined the Supreme Court of Texas for the Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families in May 2018. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable John L. Call, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Family Division in Burlington County, New Jersey. In 2012, Jocelyn moved home to Texas and joined the Supreme Court of Texas Access to Justice Commission where she focused on increasing access to the civil justice system for low-income Texans. Jocelyn earned a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law – Camden in 2011 and a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Her primary areas of focus are trauma informed care, tribal-state collaboration, and disproportionality in the child welfare system.
