Our Commission Meetings

The Children's Commission meets in person three times a year.

THE SEPTEMBER 14, 2012, MEETING WILL NOT BE IN THE
SUPREME COURT COURTROOM.

The next meeting will be held in the State Bar of Texas,
The Texas Law Center, 1414 Colorado Street, Austin,
Texas, 78701. The Hatton W. Sumners Meeting Room
is on the first floor.

The Texas Law Center is located near the Capitol complex in Austin
at the northwest corner of Colorado and 15th Streets.

The Texas Law Center does not provide parking in their garage
for meetings. Click here for more information on alternative
parking.

  • January 11, 2013, Supreme Court of Texas Courtroom

  • May 3, 2013, State Bar of Texas, Texas Law Center

  • September 27, 2013, State Bar of Texas, Texas Law Center


Visitor Information

Meetings are open to the public, however seating is very limited in the Supreme Court courtroom. Before entering the courtroom, visitors must pass through a security check that includes a metal detector and a physical search of bags and briefcases.

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the courtroom.

Each meeting notebook is posted on this web page in a printable format a few of days before the meeting. Visitors are encouraged to print their own copies before the meeting because very few extra copies are provided.


Location and Parking

The Supreme Court of Texas is located at 201 W. 14th Street, Austin, Texas, 78701, and is situated on the northwest corner of the Capitol Complex in the Tom C. Clark Building. Click here for a map of the Capitol Complex and the Capitol Visitor Parking Garage. Street metered parking, both coin and card-swipe, have 3-hour limits at one dollar per hour. A parking ticket is $25.
