Milbrey E. Raney joined the Supreme Court of Texas as a Staff Attorney for the Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families in April 2012. She is responsible for attorney training and education primarily through the Trial Skills Training program, webinars, and scholarships, as well as providing staff support to the Training Committee. She also coordinates the Attorney Resource Letters and assists with the JIR blasts and letters. Prior to working for the Supreme Court, she worked as a family law attorney and represented children and parents involved in child protection cases, and she also served as a member and then Vice Chair of the Travis County Child Welfare Board for five years. Milbrey earned a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Davidson College in 1989.
