PMC Court Evaluation Workgroup

The Data Committee facilitates meetings between the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS), Casey Family Programs, and other stakeholders regarding the evaluation of the Permanent Managing Conservatorship (PMC) Courts in Dallas and Houston. The workgroup developed a plan to use surveys, focus groups, and interviews to obtain data regarding the PMC Courts from the CASA programs in Harris and Dallas Counties and attorneys practicing in the PMC courts in both jurisdictions.

The surveys, focus groups, and interviews were conducted in October and early November 2021 and the Final Report, Raising the Bar: Examining Court Practices and Well-being amongst Children and Youth in the Permanent Managing Conservatorship of the State, was released on December 29, 2021.
