Scott Cooley, Sr. Staff Attorney

Scott Cooley joined the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families in October of 2025. Mr. Cooley earned a BS from the University of Texas at Austin and a JD from the University of Houston Law Center. After a judicial clerkship at the Supreme Court of Texas from 1996-1998, Mr. Cooley practiced civil litigation throughout his career in private practice, and began representing children and parents in child welfare proceedings in 2014.
